Show Based On J.K. Rowling’s Crime Novels Written Under The Pseudonym Robert Galbraith


LOS ANGLEES, September 17, 2019 – Filming has begun on the four-episode second season of the CINEMAX and BBC One series C.B. STRIKE, titled LETHAL WHITE.  Stars Tom Burke (“The Souvenir,” “The Musketeers”) and Holliday Grainger (“The Capture,” “Patrick Melrose”) will return, along with Robert Glenister (“Live by Night”), Natasha O’Keeffe (“Peaky Blinders,” “Sherlock”) and Kerr Logan (HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” “Alias Grace”) for the fourth story based on J.K. Rowling’s best-selling Cormoran Strike crime novels, written under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith.

In the grips of psychosis, a young man named Billy Knight (Joseph Quinn) arrives in private detective Cormoran Strike’s (Tom Burke) office telling the story of a child he saw strangled many years ago.  Strike is simultaneously hired by government minister Jasper Chiswell (Robert Glenister) to investigate Billy’s brother, Jimmy Knight (Nick Blood), who is blackmailing him.  As Strike and his partner Robin (Holliday Grainger) work to determine how the cases might be connected, Robin goes undercover in the House of Commons.

Orphan Black: The Next Chapter - What Clone Club Has Been Waiting For

Orphan Black: The Next ChapterToday Serial Box released part one of episode one of the highly anticipated continuation of the popular BBC America series, Orphan Black. The Next Chapter takes place eight years after the end of the television series, which followed the intertwined lives of clones as they struggled to not only find their identities, but also stop those behind the cloning program and other atrocities of science.

The new series will see the return of the sisters. Although Project Leda has come to an end, it’s not over. Everything changes when they discover the existence of more clones and are forced out of their anonymous lives in order to stop a disaster.

Blu-ray Review: The Dead Don't Die is Dead on Arrival

The Dead Don't DieThe Dead Don’t Die takes place in the small town of Centerville when strange things start to happen. Polar fracking causes the earth’s rotation to change and the hours of daylight to shift.

Chief Cliff Robertson (Bill Murray) and Officer Ronnie Peterson (Adam Driver) are called in to investigate a dispute when farmer Frank Miller (Steve Buscemi) accuses Hermit Bob (Tom Waits) of stealing his chickens. Animals behaving abnormally is only part of the changes coming to the town.

Back at the station, they meet up with Officer Mindy Morrison (Chloë Sevigny). A local alcoholic’s body (Carol Kane) sits in a cell, waiting for the peculiar new undertaker Zelda Winston (Tilda Swinton).

When bodies start rising from their graves and two of the women who work at the local diner are killed, Robertson and his officers must investigate the bizarre murders and try to navigate their way through the rising zombie apocalypse.

In the series premiere, “Pilot,” Jo Evans (Allison Tolman), a whip-smart police chief, plunges her family into a deepening mystery when she discovers a young girl (Alexa Swinton) the night of an inexplicable plane crash in the quiet northeastern town and decides to protect her. Who is this child? Where did she come from and what does she know? Benny Gallagher (Owain Yeoman), an investigative reporter, intrudes into Jo’s inquiry with his own take on the shadowy evidence.

Blu-ray Review: Men in Black: International is Another Out of This World Installment

Men in Black: InternationalMen in Black: International is the fourth film in the Men in Black franchise, which focuses on the secret government agency who protects the Earth from the scum of the universe. The story follows Molly, (Tessa Thompson), who after seeing something she can’t explain as a child, works to prove aliens do exist. Eventually she gets her dream job for the MIB as Agent M.

As M is getting used to a life where there are aliens around every corner, she ends up partnered with the cocky Agent H (Chris Hemsworth), who is a hero at the agency for previously saving the universe along with his boss, Agent High T (Liam Neeson).

When the two are sent on a routine mission to protect an asset, things quickly go from bad to worse. The two must work together as they meet a myriad of unique and amusing characters along the way, including their new friend Pawny (Kumail Nanjiani), to stop the biggest global threat yet, a mole inside the organization.

Exclusive: Jason Isaacs Talks The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance and His Love for The OA

Jason IsaacsTomorrow Netflix drops its new event series, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. Based on Jim Henson’s 1982 film, The Dark Crystal, the series features an all-new adventure in the world of Thra that takes place many years prior. The series is live-action, but uses classic puppetry to tell the story. The Crystal of Truth at the heart of Thra has been damaged and corrupted by the Skeksis, spreading an evil darkening throughout the land. The story follows Rian (Taron Egerton), a Gelfling, who along with his girlfriend (Alicia Vikander) and his friend (Harris Dickinson), discover the evil truth behind the Skeksis and must race to spread the word among the Gelfling clans, and with their help, stop the darkening and save themselves and Thra before it’s too late.

The series boasts an all-star voice cast, including Jason Isaacs, who voices the character of the Emperor, skekSo, the leader of the Skeksis, who’s hell-bent on destroying all Gelflings.

Isaacs recently talked to SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview about working on the series, the unique aspects of such a role, and his thoughts on The OA and the fans' campaigns to save it.
