Exclusive Interview with Mark Ghanimé for Helix on March 26, 2014
Interview by Jamie Ruby
Written by Jamie Ruby

Mark GhaniméSergio Balleseros, played by Mark Ghanimé, is one of the most interesting characters on Syfy's Helix. Throughout the season it has been difficult to ascertain where his loyalties truly lie (other than to himself). The season finale, which aired tonight, continued in that vein.

Ghanimé talked one on one with Jamie Ruby of SciFi Vision earlier in the week about the season finale and other key moments of the series for his character.

Early Review: Helix: "Das L'ombre" - The Season Finale You Don't Want to Miss

HelixToday many fans, myself included, rejoiced when in time for the season finale tonight, Syfy officially announced that Helix will return for a second season. In my opinion, Helix is the best of what Syfy has to offer. I really feel that television has been lacking lately in smart serialized shows, and the fact that it's science fiction makes it even better. Too many networks shy away lately from airing complex shows that aren't episodic or procedural. I love the fact that you can really immerse yourself in the show and that I find myself questioning what's truly going on, long after the episode has ended for the night. That being said, it's also great to see such as series, that as much as it poses new questions every week, it has answered a great majority of them throughout the story.

Syfy Digital Press Tour 2013 - Helix Set Part 2 + Exclusive Photos

HelixLast October the digital press visited the set of Helix as part of the the Syfy Digital Press Tour. Part of the photos had been embargoed, but as such have now been released in time for the season finale.

The third Helix set location (see parts 1 & 2) was actually a real life research facility. We started off down to the underground base where the door to the facility was surrounded by fake snow. Director/executive producer Brad Turner picked up the cord to demonstrate how the characters hold on to it to move around outside.

Dermot Mulroney Stars in NBC's Crisis

By Jamie Ruby

Dermot MulroneyLast Sunday NBC premiered its new series Crisis. Star Dermot Mulroney, who plays Francis Gibson, recently talked to the media about his character and what fans can expect moving forward.

Mulroney talked to SciFi Vision about not knowing the full storyline from the beginning of filming. "It is true that I had very little knowledge of what was coming moments later. We'd get the scripts about four or five days in advance. The thing is, we did the whole season as planned - 13 episodes, so now I know everything and it's awesome. There's some really good semi sci-fi twists in our story too that I think people are going to love...It comes unexpected and it's not alien mother ships or anything but, you know, there're some touches. It's really enjoyable in terms of those types of stories."
