Exclusive: Sarah Desjardins Talks Impulse

Sarah DesjardinsRecently YouTube released season one of its new series, Impulse, in its entirety on the YouTube Premium. The series follows Henrietta “Henry” Coles (Maddie Hesson), who during a traumatic encounter with a boy at school (Tanner Stine), discovers that she has the ability to “jump,” or teleport. While dealing with the incident, she must learn how to control her newfound ability. She is helped by her mother’s boyfriend’s daughter, Jenna, played by Sarah Desjardins, and school friend Townes (Daniel Maslany).

Pacific Rim UprisingPacific Rim Uprising takes place ten years after the events of the original blockbuster film, when humanity won the war against the Kaiju, an alien race who came to earth from another dimension through a breach in the ocean floor.

The film follows former pilot Jake Pentecost (John Boyega), the son of a legendary Jaeger pilot who sacrificed himself to save the world.

While most cities of the world have rebuilt, some relief zones still remain, where people like Jake survive by selling old Jaeger parts on the black market.

The thriller stars Sarah Shahi as Mara Kint, a former hostage negotiator who started working as a college professor after suffering from a personal tragedy. She is asked by her old boss and former police chief, who now works security, Charlie Ventana (Dennis Haysbert), to help him with something called “Reverie.” The company he works for has created an immersive virtual-reality program in which you can live out your wildest dreams or your favorite memories. However, users have become addicted to and stuck in the program, and he needs her skills to get them back out into the real world.

DVD Review: Maze Runner: The Death Cure - Out Now

Maze Runner: The Death CureMaze Runner: Death Cure is the third installment in the Maze Runner series, based on the book series of the same name by James Dashner. The films take place in a dystopian future where there is a deadly virus, the Flare, that has wiped out much of humanity as well as turned many of the infected into zombie-like killers called “Cranks.” The story follows the journey of Thomas, played by Dylan O’Brien, and his friends as they try to escape the reach of the group W.C.K.D. and save humanity.

In the first film, the characters awake with no memory in a place called The Glade, where they are forced to survive and find their way out of a deadly ever-changing maze. After escaping they learn that that maze is part of an experiment from W.C.K.D. (the World Catastrophe Killzone Department), where scientists are using children, some of which are immune, to find the cure for a disease called the Flare.

Exclusive: Jared Harris Stars in AMC's The Terror

Jared HarrisTonight after The Walking Dead, AMC previews its new series, The Terror. Set in 1985, the suspenseful thriller follows the crew of a British Royal Naval expedition, who while searching for the Northwest Passage in uncharted territory, face not only treacherous elements, but is attacked by a mysterious predator. Though partially fictional, the story is based on Dan Simmons’ novel, which was inspired by a real life expedition where the crew unexplainably vanished.

The series, which will have an official full two-hour premiere tomorrow, March 26th, stars Jared Harris as Captain Francis Crozier, who recently talked to SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview.
