***Spoilers for 2.05***
Tonight Syfy aired an all-new episode of its series Van Helsing
, "Save Yourself." In the episode, Vanessa (Kelly Overton) and the other survivors save the kids from the detention center, including Felix, played by Bzhaun Rhoden, who had been tortured by not only his other peers, but also by psycho vampire Sam (Chris Heyerdahl), who cut his tongue out in the previous episode.
Rhoden recently talked to SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview. Due to spoilers it was split into two parts. Part two is below, in which the actor talks about Felix’s journey from victim to survivor and working with Kelly.

. SCIFI VISION: Can you talk next a bit about Felix's journey? Because he goes from being the one who's bullied, the victim, to at one point obviously snapping when he stabs the guy, to now, where he has to come out the other end of that and survive. Can you talk about his journey in getting to that point?
I feel that what he becomes after being tortured was a bit overdue. He is stronger than the others kids give him credit for, and unfortunately it took Sam to bring that out in a very violent, harsh way. Because we all have the capacity to kill; we all have the capacity to be courageous, and he is pretty much forced along. It's almost expedited, that transition.
So, it's hard for him, but at the same time, I feel that's what gives the character wonderful depth. When he escapes the pool, and he's going to run away, but then he turns back around, and he's like, "I'm going to help these people. I'm going to help these people who tortured me." That's huge. Yeah. It shows he's better than them.
Exactly. He's better than them, but at the same time, he can be just as bad, clearly, when he kills a person, so it's quite a journey he goes on. Vanessa and the others rescue him in 2.05. Can you talk about working with Kelly?
It was a little intimidating actually. [laughs]
I don't know why; she's so nice. She's a very nice woman. I don't know, but it was intimidating. Maybe it was because she's the lead. I just really wanted to make sure that when I was with her, I was with her, you know? And I believe that I was, but, yeah, it was definitely intimidating and a little hard to keep up with her; she's pretty good. [laughs] I'm trying to think of a way to ask a question to have you talk about her biting you. [laughs] Was that interesting? [laughs] Because to have somebody bite you, unless you are in a vampire show on a regular basis, that seems like an odd thing to be asked to do. [laughs]
It was all right. It actually wasn't too hard to get through, because she actually bit me. [laughs]
Not hard, obviously, but I could feel her teeth, and she was going into my skin a bit, so it was one of the easier things to do, actually. [laughs] Okay, well yeah, with the script you had, I can see that. [laughs]
Thinking forward, is there anything you can tease about what's coming for him?
That's funny, because I don't even know [yet]. He gets his tongue cut out; he gets rescued. I'm not sure what's going to happen to this kid. Well, hopefully you'll come back for season three.
Hopefully I get my tongue back! [laughs]
Because it's very hard. I gave it some thought - could I just maybe turn into a vampire for a bit, and let my tongue grow back? [laughs] That could actually maybe work in this world. [laughs]
