SYFY AND UNIVERSAL CABLE PRODUCTIONS ANNOUNCE START OF PRODUCTION FOR HUNTERS

SERIES STARS NATHAN PHILLIPS (WOLF CREEK), BRITNE OLDFORD (AMERICAN HORROR STORY) AND JULIAN MCMAHON (NIP/TUCK)

GALE ANNE HURD (THE WALKING DEAD) AND NATALIE CHAIDEZ (12 MONKEYS) TO EXECUTIVE PRODUCE 13-PART DRAMA, SET TO PREMIERE ON SYFY IN 2016

NEW YORK – August 3, 2015 – Syfy and Universal Cable Productions (UCP) today announced that production has commenced in Melbourne, Australia on the upcoming thriller series Hunters.  The series is from executive producers Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead, The Terminator Trilogy) and Natalie Chaidez (12 Monkeys, Heroes), who will also serve as showrunner, and Emile Levisetti (Royal Pains).  Ernest Dickerson (The Walking Dead, Dexter) is set to direct the pilot.

NEW YORK / LONDON – July 31, 2015 – AMC, Channel 4 and Kudos today announced that the critically acclaimed drama series “HUMANS” has been renewed for a second season. The series will return for eight new episodes, with production starting next year.

AMC CONFIRMS 15-EPISODE ORDER FOR SECOND SEASON OF “FEAR THE WALKING DEAD”

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – July 31, 2015 – AMC announced today from the Television Critics Association (TCA) Press Tour a 15-episode order for the second season of “Fear the Walking Dead,”  which will air in 2016. One of summer’s most anticipated new series, “Fear the Walking Dead” was greenlit back in March for two seasons. As previously announced, the series will debut in the U.S. Sunday, August 23^rd at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT with an extended 90-minute episode.  The premiere will also air on AMC Global channels around the world simultaneously and will then re-air in local time zones during primetime.*  A special episode of “Talking Dead,” hosted by Chris Hardwick (Nerdist), will follow the season one finale on Sunday, October 4^th at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT (U.S. only). 

Tonight on Defiance, Nolan (Grant Bowler) and Irisa (Stephanie Leonidas) hunt for who or what is responsible for a gruesome murder, of which the victim may have surprising connections to another character. Meanwhile Stahma (Jaime Murray) returns unwelcome to town while T'evgin (Conrad Coates) deals with problems in his own family.

Tonight's episode has quite a somber tone to it. I found myself tearing up at not only Nolan's speech to the grieving families, but also to Stahma being upset over Alak (Jesse Rath). The actors did a fantastic job tonight with pulling on your heart strings.

This week's episode of Dark Matter mostly focuses on Six (Roger Cross). Recently Six found out about his past from seeing Five's dream/vision. He was part of the rebel group, the Procyon Insurrection, who stole a destroyer ship from the Galactic Authority, and the leader of his crew, the General (Andrew Jackson), unbeknownst to him, planted a bomb that blew up the shuttle they left behind at takeoff, killing thousands at the space station.
