True Story is a psychological thriller based on the real-life memoir of the same name by Michael Finkel. Jonah Hill stars at the lead character. A journalist for The New York Times, his career is as good as over when he embellishes and partly fabricates a story that's printed as the cover piece. After losing his job, no one will hire him.

Back at home with his wife Jill (Felicity Jones), Finkel gets an unexpected call from a reporter, asking for his opinion on a man, Christian Longo (James Franco), who murdered his family, and when arrested claimed to be Finkel. Unaware of what has transpired, Finkel is intrigued and sets up a meeting with Longo in prison.

Just in time for Halloween, the scientific world of BONES meets the supernatural world of SLEEPY HOLLOW in a crossover event to thrill the living, the dead and everything in between, airing Thursday, Oct. 29. On BONES (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), the grisly discovery of human remains lead Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) on a hunt for clues, during which they encounter Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) and Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie), searching for answers of their own. Realizing that they are after the same evidence, they team up to solve the mystery. Then, immediately following on SLEEPY HOLLOW (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), the intrigue continues as Ichabod’s old nemesis is back from the dead. Ichabod and Abbie need advanced forensic help and expertise to stop him and turn to Brennan and Booth to unlock 18^th century secrets using 21^st century science.

FX’s The Strain, which is based on the series of novels written by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan, follows a group of CDC agents as they try to stop a vampiric plague destroying New York. Miguel Gomez stars as Augustin “Gus” Elizade, an ex-con who took a job transporting a van to Manhattan that unbeknownst to him contained the body of The Master (Robert Maillet), which eventually led to the spread of the virus that has infected so many.

Gus was later kidnapped by Vaun (Stephen McHattie), the leader of a group of ancient strigoi intent on killing The Master, who taught him new ways to kill vampires, before he and the group were recently killed by Eldritch Palmer (Jonathan Hyde).

Yesterday Gomez talked to the media about his work on the series, which airs Sundays on FX.

The actor talked to SciFi Vision about how he first became involved with The Strain. “I went in and I met with the beautiful, amazing April Webster, and just talked about the character and what they were looking for. Then I ended up meeting with Carlton Cuse and he was giving me the direction of where they wanted to go with the character, and, yes, everything just fit.”

NEW YORK – August 4, 2015 – Syfy and Universal Cable Productions’ (UCP) latest scripted drama series, The Magicians, will commence season one production on August 4 in Vancouver, Canada. The 13 episode season will air in early 2016 on Syfy.
 
Starring Jason Ralph (Quentin Coldwater), Stella Maeve (Julia), Hale Appleman (Eliot), Arjun Gupta (Penny) and Summer Bishil (Margo), The Magicians is based on Lev Grossman’s best-selling novels. The series centers on Quentin, a brilliant grad student chosen to attend Brakebills College for Magical Pedagogy, a secret upstate New York university specializing in magic. He and his 20-something friends soon discover that the magical fantasy world they read about as children is all too real – and poses grave danger to humanity.

ABC Family's Melissa & Joey is a sitcom that follows Mel (Melissa Joan Hart), a politician who ends up taking care of her neice and nephew after her sister goes to prison and her brother-in-law takes off. She is helped by Joe (Joseph Lawrence), the family's manny.

Taylor Spreitler stars as Lennox Scanlon, Mel's neice.

The actress talked to the media earlier in the week about her work on the show and the series finale which airs tomorrow night on ABC Family.
