Ken Marino is coming to Whitney! The comedian guest stars in this week’s episode as Brian, the older brother of Whitney’s live-in boyfriend, Alex. When Brian crashes on the couple’s couch, old sibling rivalries come to the surface, causing the brothers to brawl.

Marino is perhaps best known for his role as Dr. Glenn Ritchie on Adult Swim’s Children’s Hospital. He also appears in the Starz series Party Down. Viewers who are unfamiliar with those shows may also recognize him from his countless guest spots on everything from Dawson’s Creek to Grey’s Anatomy.

"It was a fast week," Marino says of his time on the Whitney set. "I enjoyed pretty much all of it. I think the actors on the show are a lot of fun.

"And then the people running the show are very passionate about it and so it's fun watching a group of people creating a show that are really into it and passionate about it."

Chemistry among the cast and crew is something Marino thinks is critical to any show’s success.

Syfy's Being Human originally premiered the beginning of 2011 and immediately did great in the ratings. It also caught the largest female audience. As the summer series ends, Powerful Mondays will continue into the new year with this scripted series.

The Being Human cast, including Sam Witwer, Meaghan Rath, and Sam Huntington, recently attended the Syfy Digital Press Tour in Orlando, Florida and talked to the press about the upcoming season.

This October (10/9-10/10) marked the 5th annual Syfy Digital Press Tour, which once again took place in Orlando, Florida, this time at the Loews Royal Pacific Hotel. I at SciFi Vision, along with reporters from other sites, were invited to take part in the press event.

The Walking Dead returned this week, opening the second season with a truly terrifying hour of television. Unfortunately, the episode was an hour and half long, which meant the story dragged at times.

Although the episode was perhaps longer than necessary, it was a great premiere in which the creative team gave notice that season two raises the stakes in every way. In particular, the search for Sophia was too drawn out. But I totally fell for the diversion, which meant I had a great OMG moment at the end when Carl was shot. I don’t know if he’ll live or die, but I’m not counting on him making it. If the writers are willing to shoot him, I think they’re willing to kill him. We’ve been warned: don’t get too attached to anyone this season.

The fall season brought a new entry the NBC’s Thursday night lineup: Whitney, a half-hour sitcom created and produced by stand-up comedienne Whitney Cummings. The series centers on Whitney and Alex, a happily cohabitating couple with no interest in getting married anytime soon.

The freshman comedy wasn’t well-received by most critics and drew tough criticisms prior to its premiere. But the true judges, the viewers, felt otherwise. While Whitney isn’t exactly a hit, the show drew a large enough audience to warrant a full season pickup.

What is it about Whitney that excites viewers?

?The Sing-Off returned this fall with an extended season, an expanded field of 16 teams, and a new face (Sara Bareilles) on the judges' panel.

Two things haven't changed: Nick Lachey is back for another season as host, and he still loves being a part of the show.

"It's such a fun show to be a part of," Lachey says excitedly. "I think the best thing about the show for me is being around people who are so passionate and excited to be musicians and to be part of music.

"When you've been in the business a while," he admits, "sometimes you forget the passion and the excitement that you had when you first stepped into it. And it's refreshing to be around people who have that excitement and passion."

"So I'm blessed that I'm able to be the host of The Sing-Off."

Once again SciFi Vision will be attending the Syfy Digital Press Tour at Universal in Orlando, Florida. The season four premiere of Sanctuary, entitled "Tempus," airs tonight at 10pm ET/PT on Syfy. The episode starts where the finale left off with Dr. Helen Magnus (Amanda Tapping) having traveled to the past in order to stop Adam Worth (Ian Tracey) from altering history. Based on Stephen King's The Colorado Kid, Haven follows FBI agent Audrey Parker, played by Emily Rose, as she comes to the town of Haven and partners with local cop Nathan Wuornos, played by Lucas Bryant. The town is full of odd occurances, all stemming from many of the people of the town who have what they call "troubles." They must try to keep the town safe as they try to find out who Audrey really is.

The series' second season came to a close on Friday with "Sins of the Father." In the episode the dead rise up to settle problems and in many cases get revenge. In the episode more information is revealed about the roles people play in the town. Audrey and Nathan also continue to deal with their growing relationship. Tahmoh Penikett and Nicholas Campbell guest star.

Star Lucas Bryant recently talked to the digital media about the series and the season finale.

Sanctuary, which originally started as a web series on Syfy.com, is shot almost entirely on green screen. The show follows Dr. Helen Magnus, played by Amanda Tapping (Stargate SG-1; Stargate: Atlantis) and her team, including Dr. Will Zimmerman (Cruel Intentions 2; The Skulls II), as they use their unique skills to help beings that lay outside of the realm of what most people consider normal. Some abnormals pose no threat, while others need to be kept away from humanity.

The series also stars Ryan Robbins (Battlstar Galactica; Riese) as tech Henry Foss and Christopher Heyerdahl (Stargate: Atlantis; The Twilight Saga: New Moon) as John Druitt.

This October, Sanctuary enters it's fourth season with the episode "Tempus." The season boasts great guest stars, both new and returning, including Gil Bellows (Ally McBeal; FlashForward), Peter Wingfield (24; Caprica), Jonathon Young (Eureka; Stargate: Atlantis) and Agam Darshi (The Guard; The L Word) who reprises her role as Kate Freelander.

The stars of the series, Tapping and Dunne, sat down with the digital media to talk about the upcoming season of the show, as well as the first-ever musical episode, airing Thanksgiving weekend on November 25th.
