LOS ANGELES - August 12, 2015 - Syfy’s highly anticipated space thriller The Expanse will launch with a two-night premiere Monday, December 14 and Tuesday, December 15 at 10PM (ET/PT). The epic drama from Alcon TV is based on the international best-selling book series of the same name and will regularly air on Tuesdays at 10PM for the remainder of its 10-episode first season.

The most ambitious series in Syfy history, The Expanse is set two hundred years in the future, after mankind has colonized the solar system. A hardened detective (Thomas Jane, Hung) and a rogue ship’s captain (Steven Strait, Magic City) come together for what starts as the case of a missing young woman and evolves into a race across the solar system to expose the greatest conspiracy in human history.

Season two of The Strain follows Ephraim Goodweather, played by Corey Stoll, who along with his son and small group of survivors, fight against the strigoi and to stop the vampire virus that’s ravaged through New York. Working with fellow CDC scientist Nora Martinez (Mia Maestro), while they couldn’t create a cure as the infected are already dead, they were able to create another virus that will kill vampires, but not before they spread the disease to the other infected. In the most recent episode, Eph, with a fake I.D., made his way to Washington D.C. in the hope of finding someone who will listen and can help him to try to stop The Master and his strigoi.

Recently Stoll talked to the digital media about playing Eph and his work on the series.

The actor talked to SciFi Vision about working with special effects makeup on the series. “This season there were a few things; in the beginning in the first season, there was like a couple bashed in heads and the autopsy. In this season there seems to be a little bit of, at least from my feelings, this is my exposure to it, a little bit of a break from that.
