Just in time for the 2012 election, Gary Morgenstein's politically charged bipartisan, biracial romantic comedy, RIGHT ON TARGET, about a conservative African American – who claims he was fired from PBS for his politics -- and his liberal Jewish wife will premiere at the New York International Fringe Festival at the Main Stage of the Cherry Lane Theater, 38 Commerce Street, Saturday, August 11 at 7PM; Wednesday, August 15 at 9:15PM; Saturday, August 18 at 12noon; Wednesday, August 22 at 2PM, and Friday, August 24 at 4:15PM. Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at door. Go to www.fringenyc.org or call 866-468-7619.
Directed by Noemí de la Puente of Dramatic Question Theatre, RIGHT ON TARGET stars Maggie Wagner, who recently appeared in the off-Broadway production of The Diary of Anne Frank; Simcha Borenstein: Jane Dashow; Janet Kim; Tom Lacey and Robert McKay.

Now that the tectonic shifts presented in the premiere have been tossed to the audience, it's time for the writers to start exploring what this new status quo actually means. As it turns out, some of the changes are less extreme than originally thought, but it still represents an opportunity for the show to gain a fresh perspective. Despite everything that has happened, of course, it would be foolish to ignore the one constant: the amazing chemistry between Annie and Auggie.
In an unusual move for "White Collar", the season premiere was only the first part of what can be thought of as the show's first two-part premiere. Needless to say, I'm very happy with this change in the normal status quo, and I hope it represents a trend. If the final moments of the episode are anything to go by, then this may very well be the case. The previous season had a few more problems than I'd like, particularly in regards to the main story arcs, so I'm curious to see if this season improves on the last.
