Week six was hip-hop week on The Sing-Off. The genre was a tough challenge for a number of groups, and when the smoke cleared, The Collective were on their way home to Nashville, but they are leaving the show with no regrets.
This October (10/9-10/10) marked the 5th annual Syfy Digital Press Tour, which once again took place in Orlando, Florida, this time at the Loews Royal Pacific Hotel. I at SciFi Vision, along with reporters from other sites, were invited to take part in the press event.
The fall season brought a new entry the NBC’s Thursday night lineup: Whitney, a half-hour sitcom created and produced by stand-up comedienne Whitney Cummings. The series centers on Whitney and Alex, a happily cohabitating couple with no interest in getting married anytime soon.
The Sing-Off returned this fall with an extended season, an expanded field of 16 teams, and a new face (Sara Bareilles) on the judges' panel.
The season four premiere of Sanctuary, entitled "Tempus," airs tonight at 10pm ET/PT on Syfy. The episode starts where the finale left off with Dr. Helen Magnus (Amanda Tapping) having traveled to the past in order to stop Adam Worth (Ian Tracey) from altering history. Worth previously traveled to 1898 London to save his daughter, and Magnus knows that he could irreparably change the future, and she must stop him at any cost.
Based on Stephen King's The Colorado Kid, Haven follows FBI agent Audrey Parker, played by Emily Rose, as she comes to the town of Haven and partners with local cop Nathan Wuornos, played by Lucas Bryant. The town is full of odd occurances, all stemming from many of the people of the town who have what they call "troubles." They must try to keep the town safe as they try to find out who Audrey really is.
