Tonight, The Ark season two came to a close with the episode “Fortunate.” In the episode, the Ark finally arrives at Trappist, finding a planet a lot like Earth. Everyone on the surface seems very happy at first glance of their new home, but if seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Earlier in the week, co-showrunners and executive producers Dean Devlin and Jonathan Glassner spoke with SciFi Vision about the end of the season, including the twist with Lane’s death from a few episodes earlier, the decision to split up the group at the end of the finale, the possibility of a season three and what it might look like, and much more.

This year, dog behaviorist Cesar Milan, known to the world as “The Dog Whisperer,” is celebrating the twentieth anniversary of his first television appearance. His series Cesar Milan: Better Human Better Dog is currently airing its fifth season on both National Geographic and Disney+. Milan continues his mission of inspiring a new generation of dog lovers on the new season, where he matches pet parents with the perfect companions to help them each complete their own family pack.

According to Milan, who spoke with SciFi Vision recently, the series is not only entertaining, but also educational and enlightening. “[There are] three kinds of people in the world,” Milan explained, “people who love dogs, people who are afraid of dogs, and people who don't like dogs. And I can help them all.”

Milan is also the co-founder of the Halo Collar, which is launching its new version, Halo Collar 4. The design has been revamped in smaller hardware with the same capabilities now inclusive to all size dogs, including small dogs (10+ pounds), where previously only larger dogs could wear the collar. Milan created the design himself to enable pet parents everywhere to have access to his training. The collar, which can instantly create and store unlimited wireless fences on each collar in the Halo app does not require a wi-fi or cellular connection, so you can always keep your dog safe off their leash and create a “backyard” wherever you are.  You can also use the built-in training to teach dogs to respond to a variety of sounds and vibrations, all of which is customizable, so you can find what works best for your dog. Other updates to the new addition include 25% longer battery life and a lighter all-day fit, as well as updated colors.

SciFi Vision recently spoke with the stars and director of She Taught Love about their sweet romantic drama. Darrell Britt-Gibson wrote the impressive script and also stars in it as Frank, a young actor who's between projects and indulging too much in self-destructive behaviors. Then, he meets a young woman named Mali (Arsema Thomas), who  inspires him to change his ways, despite a looming tragedy. Director Nate Edwards did an excellent job with this gem of a relationship movie.

Based loosely on Britt-Gibson's own experiences, the film is about how two people are drawn to each other, despite having very different personalities and life goals. They keep going back to each other, despite the flaws. When she has a health crisis, the two must choose to live in the moment and support each other the only way they can.

Tomorrow, Earpers will be rejoicing when Wynonna Earp (Melanie Scrofano) and Doc Holliday (Tim Rozon) return to their screens in Wynonna Earp: Vengeance, this time on Tubi. The special picks up with the team split up, with Wynonna and Doc making their way through casinos to get enough money together so they can settle down and build a place that they can bring their daughter, Alice, who’s been kept away to stay safe. Meanwhile, Waverly (Dominque Provost-Chalkley) and Nicole Haught (Katherine Barrell) are happily married back in the Ghost River Triangle, but as per usual, nothing is normal in Purgatory. There is a new demon threat in town (Karen Knox), and she makes sure Wynonna takes notice.

Last week, stars Scrofano and Rozon talked with SciFi Vision about the special, which they both had a great time making. Scrofano described the process as “living the dream,” while Rozon said it felt fresh but also “felt like home.” The two talked about where the characters are at at the start of the season, the atmosphere on set coming back, how easy it was getting back into the roles, if they’re satisfied with the new ending, if the show could be coming back again, and much more.

For most actors, joining a massive media franchise and cult phenomenon can be a bit scary. But when Wilson Cruz signed on for Star Trek: Discovery, he had an inkling of what was in store. As a young actor, he starred in two of the 90s’ most enduring productions: as Ricky in ABC’s cult classic My So-Called Life, and on Broadway as Angel in the Tony-award winning musical Rent.

When SciFi Vision spoke with Cruz recently, we wondered: while both shows spawned enduring and rabid fandoms, did they prepare Cruz for Trek? He didn’t even have to think about the answer.

“Yes, actually! You know, the My So-Called Life fandom is unparalleled. The fact that we only had one season - by the way, thirty years this month - the fact that that one season of TV is still accessible tells you the strength of that fandom. The Rent heads are an animal of their own. So, I was prepared.”

But that doesn’t mean Cruz wasn’t challenged by the opportunity.

The Last Front, which opened in theaters on Friday, takes place at the start of World War I in a Belgian village. The film follows the Lambert family, led by widowed husband and father, Leonard Lambert (Iain Glen), and his son (James Downie) and daughter. Amidst the chaos, Lambert is in love with the local villager Louise Janssen (Sasha Luss), and hopes to marry her against their parents wishes. When German forces advance on the village and tragedy strikes, Leonard steps forward to lead the villagers to safety in a compelling tale of survival.

Recently, stars Glen, Luss, and Downie, along with writer and director Julien Hayet-Kerknawi, spoke with SciFi Vision about creating the period film, including the costumes, filming emotional scenes, some of the challenges they faced, and much more.

In the most recent episode of Evil, which premiered on Thursday, a woman, Ellie (Anna Chlumsky), claiming to be Kristen (Katja Herber)’s daughter Laura from the future, reveals some disturbing news. Meanwhile, the future of the assessor program is threatened. On the other side of things, Leland Townsend (Michael Emerson) is brought to trial after Sheryl (Christine Lahti) provided evidence that led to his arrest. The two victims he had imprisoned died, so he’s left trying to blackmail Dr. Boggs (Kurt Fuller) into helping him with an insanity defense. As he tries to mount his defense, he also tries to get his lawyer (John Carroll Lynch), who isn’t much help, changed, only for him to reveal he’s actually a demon.

Always delegating his dirty work, Leland clearly did not ever expect to get caught and arrested. How will he deal with the fallout? “He's going to deal with it the same way he deals with all kinds of intrusion or regulation from the normal world in his affairs with the 60,” explained Emerson during a recent interview with SciFi Vision, adding that the delegation is a survival technique. “[H]e usually has someone he can call,” continued the actor, “someone that they own, someone that's in their pocket, but he doesn't always know who they are or from which direction they might be coming.”

The actor also admitted that Kristen has become a distraction from his work with the 60. “[I]t's probably the reason he's not more successful in the corporate world of the 60, because he has these petty little wars that he maintains,” said Emerson. “He's just so busy trying to bring down David (Mike Colter) and Kristen that sometimes he doesn't help his own career that much.”

Unfortunately the series only has three more episodes to wrap up the plot. Can Leland get a happy ending? Emerson isn’t sure, but he did say that whatever “makes [Leland] happy is going to make lots of other people unhappy.”

In the newest episode of Evil, which premieres today on Paramount+, while Kristen (Katja Herbers) and the others deal with the looming hurricane, Sheryl (Christine Lahti) has her own problems to deal with as she goes to DF and continues on her quest to try to take down Leland (Michael Emerson) even as she fears what he will do to her. It all ends with a shock no one saw coming.

When Lahti recently spoke with SciFi Vision, she talked about how Sheryl’s lust for power became her character’s downfall. “I think that her quest for power was rabid in a way,” the actress told the site. “It was her need for power, her need to to dominate, after feeling so subjected and so like, squished by men for so long. I think it just turned her. It’s like, power at any cost.

“Then, once she saw the ramifications, like [how] Leland's trying to kill her granddaughter, that was the the bridge that was too far to cross, and that turned things around for her.”

On the newest episode of Evil, which premieres today on Paramount+, when Kristen (Katja Herbers) is horrified by her new neighbor, David (Mike Colter), Ben (Aasif Mandvi), and Sister Andrea (Andrea Martin) come over. However, that’s not all, as there’s a bad hurricane on the horizon, which Sister Andrea thinks is more than just the weather. Meanwhile, Sheryl (Christine Lahti) and Leland (Michael Emerson)’s war comes to a shocking end.

Sister Andrea is the one person besides David who can see demons on the series, but the actress thinks that it’s likely they are just the only ones we know of. “I don't think this is the first time that people of the cloth, religious people, can see things,” she explained to SciFi Vision during a recent interview. “It's just other people don't believe that they can.”

Since Sister Andrea can see the demons, she’s often the one battling them physically, and generally in comedic ways, bashing them with shovels and things, which she has enjoyed. “There was something satisfying about it, I have to say,” said Martin. “Also, it made me feel kind of like [I had] a superpower, like a Marvel figure, or swashbuckling or something, that I felt like I was on some kind of adventure doing it.”

On the newest episode of Evil, premiering today on Paramount+, there’s a hurricane coming, but is it more than just the weather causing it? As Kristen (Katja Herbers) and her daughters prepare, they are joined by David (Mike Colter), Ben (Aasif Mandvi), and Sister Andrea (Andrea Martin). However, that isn’t the only problem when Kristen discovers she has to be worried about her new neighbor. Meanwhile, Sheryl (Christine Lahti) continues on her quest to destroy Leland (Michael Emerson) and is joined by Dr. Boggs (Kurt Fuller) as they wait out the storm together, but are visited by someone, which is just the start of the shocking conclusion to the war between Sheryl and Leland.

During the episode, at the request of Kristen, Dr. Boggs visits Sheryl at DF, and is witness to a man who appears as a demon, but he once again seems to think it could all be in in their heads. According to Fuller, who recently spoke with SciFi Vision, it’s important that what really happens often remains ambiguous. “Once you start reaching conclusions, the show is over,” explained the actor to the site. “…You’ve got to keep the mystery going. You've got to keep the open ended questions going.”
