Season two of The Hunting Party follows FBI profiler Rebecca “Bex” Henderson (Melissa Roxburgh) as she fights to get the task force back together while dealing with the fallout Odell (Nick Wechsler)’s death and the fact that their new boss, Lazarus (Kari Matchett) is a serial killer from The Pit. The team reinstated, she and CIA officer Jacob Hassani (Patrick Sabongui) and former prison guard Shane Florence (Josh McKenzie) come back together to continue searching for the missing inmates. The group is often helped from the command center by Army Intelligence Officer Jennifer Morales (Sara Garcia).

Garcia recently spoke with SciFi Vision about working on season two of the series, trust and secrets between the characters, and more.

In Return to Silent Hill, James Sunderland (Jeremy Irvine), a broken and troubled artist haunted by his past, is drifting through life when a letter from his lost love, Mary Crane (Hannah Emily Anderson), arrives, calling him back to the town of Silent Hill. The town, however, is now unrecognizable, buried under ash and warped by evil. On his journey to find Mary, he not only faces terrifying creatures, but is pushed to the edge of his sanity as he must face a horrifying truth.

Recently, Irvine spoke to SciFi Vision about working on the film, including his love for the game, the difficulties in being in almost every scene, and more, even touching a bit on Outlander: Blood of My Blood. Return to Silent Hill is based on the second game in the franchise and is now in theaters.

The Copenhagen Test, which aired on Peacock, is a fast-paced spy thriller, that keeps you guessing at every turn. Kathleen Chalfant plays the character of St. George, a mystery woman who is the head of the secret organization known as The Orphanage. You may also know Kathleen from her illustrious career playing characters such as Margaret Butler on The Affair, or guest arcs on Madame Secretary and House of Cards.

SciFi Vision recently had a chance to sit down with Chalfant to talk about her work on the series.

Return to Silent Hill, which premieres today in theaters, is based on the second game in the franchise and was directed by Christophe Gans. The film follows James (Jeremy Irvine), who is a broken man after he and the love of his life, Mary (Hannah Emily Anderson), end their relationship. When he receives a letter from her, he returns to the mysterious town of Silent Hill, transformed by an unspeakable evil. While searching for Mary, he encounters many terrifying creatures as well as a familiar looking woman (also Anderson) and a young girl, Laura (Evie Templeton). The further James ventures into the town the more terrifying secrets he uncovers that all lead to one horrible truth.

Recently, Anderson and Templeton spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the film, including how it was for Anderson to play multiple characters, how it was different for Templeton working on the film compared to the remake of the game when she played the same character, what it was like working with the costumes, and more.

Happy’s Place is an ensemble cast sitcom lead by Reba McEntire. Reba’s character, Bobbie, inherits a restaurant from her late father only to find out she has to share it with her sister, who she didn’t know existed. SciFi Vision got to sit down with co-creator, Kevin Abbot and director, Pamela Fryman to talk about the second season. They shared a few behind the scenes moments with us.

In Mercy, which premieres in theaters on Friday, in the near future, Detective Chris Raven (Chris Pratt) is accused of murdering his wife and stands on trial, the judge the artificial intelligence he championed, Judge Maddox (Rebecca Furguson). With no memory of what happened before he woke up in the Mercy Chair, he is given 90 minutes to comb through all available surveillance footage to prove his innocence. However, if he’s found guilty, he will be executed instantly.

SciFi Vision recently spoke with star Chris Pratt about being restrained in the chair and how it both helped and hindered his ability to portray the detective. “The sense of claustrophobia, the sense of feeling trapped, being isolated in a room, a cavernous space, this cacophonous volume that I was confronted by, nothing other than digital screens, that's what my character's going through,” he explained, adding that it was similar to what he himself was going through as he filmed the scenes.

Pratt was joined by director Timur Bekmambetov who explained that although Pratt was in the chair for a large portion of the film, there is also a lot of evidence around him on the screen. “[It’s] a full of action, full of events of his life, because he's in the chair, but all his backstories are around him, and we see him fighting, chasing,” said the director.

“[I]t's very much an action forward film,” added Pratt. “Just, rather than being the person who's perpetrating the action, I'm sort of subject to witnessing the action along with the audience.”

Dead Man’s Wire, which opened in theaters nationwide over the weekend, tells the true story of Tony Kiritsis (Bill Skarsgård), who in 1977 walked into the office of the president of the Meridan Mortgage Company and kidnapped Richard ‘Dick’ Hall (Dacre Montgomery) with a sawed-off shotgun, with a dead man’s wire attached to the trigger and his own neck. The spectacle of the standoff quickly became a media frenzy.

Recently, Cary Elwes, who plays the role of Michael Grable in the film, spoke with SciFi Vision about wanting to work with director Gus Van Sant, using research to create Grable, costumes, and more.

When Starfleet Academy premiered this week, fans finally got to see two of the most anticipated characters:  Robert Picardo’s holographic Doctor and Gina Yashere’s Commander Lura Thok. Picardo has been a fan favorite since The Doctor’s run on Voyager thirty years ago, and viewers can’t wait to see him back in action. Yashere (Bob Hearts Abishola), on the other hand, makes her Star Trek debut as a Klingon/Jem’Hadar hybrid - two of franchise’s most fearsome species.

We asked the veteran and the rookie crewmembers what got the excited to join Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy streams Thursdays on Paramount+

Starfleet Academy is here! The latest entry in the Star Trek franchise premiered on Paramount+ this week, and in the capable hands of executive producers and co-showrunners Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau, it’s everything fans have been waiting for. Set in Discovery’s far future timeline, the show focuses on the first class of cadets to attend Starfleet Academy since the collapse of the Federation more than 100 years ago.

Kurtzman is a franchise veteran with four previous Star Trek series under his belt (Discovery, Short Treks, Picard, Strange New Worlds). Landau, on the other hand, is new to Star Trek but she’s not afraid to take on a beloved iconic property - in the last few years Landau created both Nancy Drew and Tom Swift for the small screen.

SciFi Vision caught up with Kurtzman and Landau ahead of the premiere. The pair described how their working relationship combines deep trust and creative debate to “make the diamond.” Star Trek: Starfleet Academy streams on Thursdays exclusively on Paramount+.
