On January 2nd, Freeform premieres its new science fiction series Beyond. The series follows Holden Matthews, played by Burkely Duffield, who suddenly awakens from a twelve-year coma. He finds himself with new abilities that also bring danger. Along with some help from new ally Willa (Dilan Gwyn), he must learn to control his new abilities as he tries to figure out what really happened during the twelve years.

Recently the actor talked with SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview about his work on the new series.

NBC will be ringing in the New Year live from Time Square in New York with NBC’s New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly, on Saturday, December 31st.

Carson Daly, who will host the NBC event for the fourteenth year, and executive producer, John Irwin, recently talked to the media about the upcoming event.

Daly started off by talking to SciFi Vision about some of the performances viewers will see this year.

“You know, Jennifer Lopez was just added, which is really great for us, obviously. She’s got a huge residency in Vegas so, we’re glad to have Jennifer Lopez doing a special song for us.

“And then we’ve got Blake Shelton, who continues to just have an incredible year, and his star continues to rise. Alicia Keys, and Pentatonix; it’s been fun to watch their success this year. So those are some of the artists that you’ll see on the special.

The film Morgan, directed by Luke Scott, follows a group of scientists in a remote, top-secret lab who after previous failed experiments have genetically created a synthetic human, which has the potential to change human evolution forever. Morgan (Anya Taylor-Joy) was given emotions unlike the previous failures and seemed to be thriving, until she attacked one of the doctors.

A woman from corporate, Lee Weathers (Kate Mara), who deals with risk assessment and management, comes on board to decide what to do with Morgan. Things only go from bad to worse as Morgan is unwilling to be controlled anymore.

Freeform's newest scripted series Beyond premieres with a special two-hour episode January 2nd. The ten-episode season, which comes from creator, writer, and executive producer Adam Nussdorf, will also be available in its entirety on multiple digital platforms simultaneously with the two-hour premiere event.

He, along with some help from his old friend Kevin (Jordan Calloway) and new allies Willa (Dilan Gwyn) and Jeff (Jeff Pierre), must not only work to find out what happened to him during those twelve years and learn how to control his new abilities, but also to escape the reach of a mysterious group who wants something from him.

Fear the Walking Dead, which is set during a zombie apocalypse, follows a dysfunctional blended family, consisting of guidance counselor Madison Clark (Kim Dickens), her daughter, Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey), and son, Nick (Frank Dillane), her boyfriend, Travis Manawa (Cliff Curtis), and his son, Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie), and a few people they meet along the way: Daniel Salazar (Rubén Blades) and his daughter Ofelia (Mercedes Mason), and mysterious business man Victor Strand (Colman Domingo) as they seek refuge from the undead.

At the start of season two, the group boards The Abigail after the military bombs Los Angeles to try to contain the infected, hoping that San Diego, and later Mexico are viable destinations.
