Nick Lachey and the Return of The Sing-Off

Nick LacheyOn December 9th The Sing-Off returns to NBC for seven episodes. The competition series showcases the country's top a cappella groups. The winner group will get a recording contract and $100,000. Nick Lachey will once again host and will be joined by judges Jewel, Ben Folds, and Shawn Stockman.

Lachey talked to the media yesterday about the return of the series.

Cameron Mathison Stars in Holidaze, Premiering 12/8

Cameron MathisonIt's almost that time of year again for ABC Family viewers - 25 Days of Christmas. One of the channel's new original movies is Holidaze, starring Cameron Mathison and Jennie Garth, which premieres Sunday, December 8th. In the film, Melody (Garth) is a corporate workaholic who is sent by her boss to her old hometown to convince the residents to permit the building of a new store. The town is against the idea and her company. When Melody tries to return home she ends up in an alternate universe where she is married to her childhood sweetheart Carter (Mathison).

Mathison, probably best known for his role as Ryan Lavery in All My Children, recently talked with the media about his new ABC Family role.

Early Review: Almost Human Premieres Tomorrow on FOX

Almost HumanTomorrow FOX kicks off its special two-night premiere event of Almost Human. Coming from executive producer J.J. Abrams and creator and executive producer J.H. Wyman, the new sci-fi action series is sure to be a hit.

Almost Human, which is set in the year 2048, follows Detective John Kennex, played by Karl Urban, who wakes up from a coma after surviving an attack on the police department. He has lost his leg, which has been replaced by a synthetic one, and most of his memory of the event, other than that his partner was killed.

When Kennex returns to duty, he finds that all of the officers are required to partner with androids, which he is very adverse to. He reluctantly agrees at the request of Captain Sandra Maldonaldo, played by Lili Taylor, but his partnership is short-lived when he ends it after the robot discovers some incriminating evidence against him.

Britne Oldford Talks ABC Family's Ravenswood

Britne OldfordRecently ABC Family premiered its new series, Ravenswood. In the series, five teenagers discover they are connected by a curse and must work together to unravel the mysteries of the town. One of the teens is Remy Beaumont, who is portrayed by Canadian born actress Britne Oldford. Remy will stop at nothing to find the truth.

Stephen Nathan on Bones & Its Move to Fridays

Stephen NathanThis week fans will get a another episode of Bones as it moves to its new timeslot on Friday with "The Fury in the Jury." Executive producer Stephen Nathan talked to the press on Monday about the move, as well as what fans can expect during the rest of the season, including the new "big bad."

One of the things coming up this season is Hodgins finding out something from his past, which Nathan talked in detail about to SciFi Vision. "That's going to be a little bit further down the line. I actually think that might not air until February, but I could just say very briefly that Hodgins finds out some things about his family, and he had a very close family. I mean, they were very, very wealthy, but he did have a very close family, but he is going to find out some secrets about that family that are going to be quite surprising to him. And it is not going to be grand political secrets or anything like that. It's going to be very, very personal.

The actress is busy these days with multiple projects on the horizon, including her lead role in the upcoming paranormal thriller House of Bad, which will be released December 3rd and has already won an award. But that's not all: among other acting roles, Katz also co-wrote the upcoming film Scorned with Mark Jones. J.J. Abrams & J.H. Wyman on Almost Human, Premiering 11/17

Almost HumanNext Sunday, November 17th, and Monday November 18th, Fox will be airing the special two-night series premiere of the new show Almost Human. The show is set in 2048, where police are required to have an android as a partner. One such officer, John Kennex (Karl Urban), wakes up from a seventeen-month coma, with a synthetic leg, after surviving an attack on the police department. He doesn't remember much of the incident, other than his partner was killed, and he blames a robot. Needless to say, he is not thrilled about the prospect of being partnered with one.

After ending his new partnership when the synthetic learns something incriminating about him, he is eventually partnered with Dorian (Michael Ealy), who was part of an android line that was discontinued due to being "flawed" with having emotional responses.
